September 12th, 2007 -- Peninsula Group a leading provider of business software and hardware for the Macintosh platform have today shipped a major update to their thermal printer drivers for OSX, which allows you to print directly to Thermal and Thermal Transfer printers on OSX. These drivers enable thermal transfer labelling printers from SATO, Citizen, Datamax, Eltron, TEC, UPS, Tharo, Brady, Peninsula, Intermec and Zebra to be used as standard printers on Mac OSX.
Peninsula Thermal Printer Driver for OSX is a special set of printer drivers for OSX. It allows you to print using standard print dialogs to various thermal transfer printers. Controls are available for speed, temperature, and other printer options via the standard print dialogs. All majors printer settings are supported, there is even support for cutters and peelers inside the printers.
You can print straight from applications such as Filemaker or 4D to industry standard labelling printers from SATO, Datamax, Eltron, TEC, UPS, Tharo, Peninsula, Intermec, Brady and Zebra, exactly the same as with other types of printers.
The configuration utility has been updated which allows you to easily add printers to the Printer Setup Utility, and also to allow printing from the UPS website if you have a UPS printer. Support has been added for over 420 printers from various manufacturers from one easy to use installer.
